We can help you to set up a new IRA account, transfer an existing IRA account or do a rollover from your 401k or other retirement plan to an IRA account. We can advise you on which type of IRA may be best for you: Traditional IRA or Roth IRA. We can advise you in selecting investments that are suitable for your situation. You can choose from traditional investments such as stocks, bonds, CDs, mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs). You can also choose from alternative investments outside of the stock market such as real estate, land, trust deeds, notes, tax lien certificates, mobile homes, private businesses and more. For college savings, we can help you set up and manage investments in a Coverdell Education Savings Account (ESA), also referred to as an education IRA. At tax time, we recommend that you use TurboTax to prepare your tax return. You can open a new IRA account or make a contribution for the previous year up until April 15th. This may provide you with a tax deduction to reduce your taxes due or increase your tax refund. Many people choose to use their tax refund checks to fund their IRA accounts.
